Grape Vine Plant Variety:Freedonia (Dark Purple) For 68 years Color:Natchez White For 68 years used along walkways and flower beds TN Nursery Offers Stunning Grape Vine Plants Growing grape vines from bare root plants is a very easy and reliable way to establish plants in the ground․ The bare root method is better for healthy root development and getting your plants off to a good start․ Plant grape vines on a sunny‚ well drained site․ They thrive in full sunshine and on less compacted ground․ Before planting‚ soak the bare root vines in water for a few hours to plump the roots and prepare their bodies for planting․ For most varieties‚ you should dig a hole deep and wide enough for the roots and root ball to fit comfortably‚ and set the vine at the same depth it grew in the nursery․ Water the hole thoroughly and provide a stake or trellis for the vine to climb․ The plants should be watered sufficiently and pruned carefully throughout the growing season‚ which will help in producing a good crop the next year․
